What's my name?

Murielle
Meaning: Bright as the sea

I'm tired of people mis pronouncing my name. I don't think its difficult to pronounce, so why am I constantly being called everything other than Murielle [Meer-e-elle]. This goes back to when I first started school at the ripe age of four. My teachers and peers would call me "Muriel" Or "Mariel". Nowadays I'm being called Murelle, or Marelle. Its very annoying. I hate having to correct people time and time again. If I had a dime for every time somebody mispronounced my name, I would be a MILLIONAIRE right now!

Wait til you get your credentials right!

If you are disgusting, classless, crusty, ghetto, ugly and/or wack..You have NO right to comment on others who are disgusting, classless, crusty, ghetto, pretty and/ or wack. You especially DO NOT have the right to talk negatively about people who are are hot, stylish, "poppin", "bhad", and/or pretty!
It really baffles me how one person can possess so many hater characteristics..Like really though? I feel like the biggest haters are the ones who are not cute enough or inspirational enough to have haters.Do you get what I mean?
Some people need to look in the mirror more than once before leaving their homes. It bothers me to see people carrying themselves in a way that is inappropriate for public. Leaving your house looking like you just rolled out of bed, or like you don't have any family or friends to tell you how bad you look is not at all ok! I'm not even trying to be harsh because I honestly feel bad. I sometimes feel like going up to these people and asking them if they need somebody to care lol.
On another note, if you cannot afford the real thing..do not stoop as low as to get faux designer things!  There are chic and affordable things that are real, so why do people insist on going to canal street or wherever else they sell fake crap to buy fake things? You are only playing yourself by sporting fake designer bags...shoes..clothes etc. Stop trying to be something that you are not!
I must reiterate that this is the year of Obama. Therefore some people need to step their game up! 2011 is rapidly approaching so some people need to make it their New Year's resolution to stop being a hater, stop rocking fake things, and/or stop leaving your house looking a mess. Please and Thank you :)
:Just saying:

Why did she do that shit?

I watched Ms.Minaj's "see right thru me" video the other day, and I don't get why her hair looked as bad as it did. I am no fan of lace front weaves at all. I think I said that on here before. With all the money that Nicki is making.... "50k for a verse no album out!", she should have hired Ursula Stephens or Derek J to handle that hair! Besides that I thought the video was pretty mediocre. Nicki's leading man was cute though. Ehh Nicki needs to take her own advice and step her cookies up before they crumble!

Is it just me?

I find it rude when:

I'm in the company of someone, and that person's friend or acquaintance walks over (whom I do not know), and I'm not introduced. Its like I just stand there awkwardly, sometimes I just introduce myself to avoid an awkward situation but come on now, have some courtesy.

I have plans with somebody and that person cannot follow through with the plans, and he/she fails to let me know that he/she cannot make it.

People talk negatively about someone else to everybody but that someone.

I send somebody a text message, and I know that person read it, but he/she fails to respond.

People do not say thank you when I hold the door for them.

I'm talking to somebody, and another person walks over and rudely interrupts, by asking that person a question.

This list is under construction..there's more that I find rude but its not coming to me this moment.

Simply AMAZING

I'm very into the spoken word and feminisim so I had to post this. Finally someone speaks about Nicki Minaj for what shes worth. I have to give it up to Jasmine, because this is just too REAL.

It's a man's world

I recently did a post on Forbes most influential women of 2010, now its time for the most influential men. Forbes didn't create this list, rather Askmen.com, but you get the drift. Whats interesting is that only 49 men where chosen...hmmm? Was there not one more person worthy of the 50th spot?  Rounding out the top 5 were: Jon Stewart, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and Kanye West. To be honest with you I had to google who the hell Steve Jobs is, because I didn't know prior to reading  the article .  Well he is the co creator of Apple computers for those of you who don't know either lol.   President Obama made the list, but unlike his wife he isn't the most influential. My favorite rapper aka Mr. Carter aka Jay Z made the list, taking the 13th spot! What I'm trying to figure out is how John Stewart is the most influential male. Kanye's spot is pretty accurate, because although he is a great rapper and I love his music and style and all that, he did interrupt Taylor at last year's MTV awards. So people shouldn' t be completely influenced by him. I wonder if Forbes will come up with their version of the most influential males, because this list was a bit trivial.

I'm coming home again

Its been a while since I've last posted and I apologize to those of you who read on a daily basis. I've been focused on school. However there are some things that I wanted to talk about.
First of all....the basketball season started yesterday! Although I didn't fully tune in because I had to focus on my research paper, which has been taking up most of my time these days. However, I caught a glimpse of the season opener game which was the Celtics vs. the Heat!

It was a close call  (88-80), but the Celtics took the win. I must say that I was surprised! I thought Lebron would carry the Heat to victory. I cant completely bash him though because he was definately putting in work for the few minutes that I watched. He earned the Heat 31 of the 80 points that they scored! We'll just watch and see how the rest of the season goes, I'm confident that the Heat can make it to the finals.

Plastic surgery

So Nene Leakes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta has obviously gone under the knife. Its apparent that her nose, boobs, and body look very different from last season. I don't think it looks bad though, in my opinion she looks good. As long as she doesn't go plastic surgery and botox happy she will be good. Remember less is more Nene, don't be like Lil Kim!

come again

Did I already express how much I do not appreciate fake people? Oh yea I did...well I'm reiterating it right now. Kk good!
