L'Union Fait La Force

Today marks the one year anniversary since the terrible earth quake in Haiti. One year ago thousands of people lost their lives, homes and family members. People were without food, shelter and water for many days. One year and billions of dollars later, the conditions are still the same. There has been barely any change in the way that the victims are living. Unfortunately the money that has been raised has not been used effectively or at all. It's a sad truth that needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Despite the resilience of Haitian people, they need all the help they can get. Don't forget that Haiti was the first Black country to gain it's independence. All we can do is hope and pray that this year will bring about some change in Haiti. We have a long way to go until the country is back on it's feet but every step counts.
