St.Patrick's day was lovely because of the amazing weather. I didn't attend the parade or anything, but I watched the aftermath in Central Park with a couple of friends. One of the perks of going to school in the city is being able to enjoy nature at it's finest. Well between the drunken teenagers and the douche bag cops, we were able to sit atop a huge rock beside a crew of guys who were decked out in their finest green street wear. They were very festive despite the fact that none of them were Irish. Lime green foam posits, bedazzled green belts, and baggy pants was what they were draped in. Their drugs were even green lol. Despite their appearance and activity they turned out to be gentle men. They helped intoxicated people as they made their way up the steep rocks. After sitting and chatting with them them for about forty five minutes, we made our way out of the park because I was longing for some chocolate and ice cream. Well as my friends and I stood outside the entrance of central park south near seventh avenue waiting for the GPS to tell us where I'd be able to find what I was yearning for, I caught a glimpse of some brown sugah. Mos Def to be exact. Surprisingly he was just walking by himself with a lovely trench coat on his back, a pair of vintage oxfords on his feet, and a leather brief case in his hand; talk about ideal lol. While my friends were lost in their conversation I said to him "Hey common". After a couple of seconds I felt like a pure idiot. He responded by saying "I'm Mos though". I felt terrible! I knewwww he wasn't common, and I knew his name but I guess my "non chalant" demeanor got the best of me. I didn't want to be a "fan" and scream. But my friends quickly realized who he was and began chasing after him, lol typical fans! I was too ashamed to do that so I walked instead lol. When we caught up to him I apologized and he assured me that it was ok. I knew that it wasn't but if he said it was than I had to accept it. My friend hugged him but really wanted a picture. According to Mos, he never takes pictures with any fans or whatever, so I respected his wishes and kept myself from snapping a quick one with my Evo. Mos Def is a cute guy. Laid back, down to earth, cool, calm, and collected. He's just like you and I, walking down the street going about his business. I can't even be mad.
